Ok, come on everyone, are you Digging our content? Have you noticed that we have a "DIGG Submit" button on each thread? What is Digg you say?

Well Digg.com is a site that you submit articles, threads, stories that you feel are important or that you've found helped you. Digging a story will help it be seen by others, which will in turn get others to come and check our site out! The more people, the more members, and well, then the more great content on GeekDrop. Smile

SO come on and Digg us! It's easy to Digg. First you have to have a digg account. That's easy and it's free, all you need is an active email addy. It takes 2 minutes to set up a digg account. Go to Digg.com to open one up. Make sure you verify the email once you sign up.

Go to a post on GeekDrop that you like, or that helped you and click the "Digg Submit" button at the top left - come on you can do it. Once you click it you will get a form like this (click to enlarge the pic)

Once you "digg" it then it will post on Digg.com. As you can see above you will have to pic a category for it, and you might want to update or put into your own words what the description is. Like mine above it didn't help to show that they had to only click the button to block trackers when no button showed up, so I simply stated what it does. Once it was posted it looked like this:

If a post has already been "Dugg" then you can just click the "Digg" part of the button to give it your own personal thumbs up! That also helps get more people here.
That's it!

Plain and very simple. It took me all of 1-2 min to "digg" it and in the end it really helps the site out, so come on, show the geekdrop and Digg us! Big Grin

P.S. You can also do the same for other sites using the small icons below each post, for Del.icio.us, Google, Technorati, etc.!
