Re: Its just badddddddddd

Ok, well when someone's child needs an organ and they can only get one that has been grown inside an animal, using human stem cells. Make sure that you refuse it, ok?
This is NOT making NEW animals. It is finding ways to grow cells, tissue, and hopefully organs to use for transplants. The animal is not being harmed at all. They are simply growing tissue inside of it. Just like your body does, except they are growing tissue to possibly use in another species. Sheep are hardy animals... I'm sure when your loved one needs a heart to live, and they offer one that has been grown inside an animal (and the animal will continue to live), but will safe your loved ones life, that you will promptly refuse it because it was part of some freak experiment.
Or wait... better yet... maybe someone would be willing to let them grow tissue in loved one first. There's a plan.
As all of you know, I love animals more than most people. But I'm also a advocate of animal research for medical reasons. I've worked in the field for many years. This is necessary stuff. The sheep is not being harmed. I watched hearts being grown in a rats ear to use in as a transplant for another rat. Guess what? They both lived.
I'm sure all of the people that are against research also refuse all medical treatment. Hope no one gives their kids treatments for cancer, pain meds, or vaccines, or anything that was once animal tested to save human lives. That'd just be sick, huh?
