Now days we rely so much on the internet and our computers that have you ever stopped to think about how much information of yours is out there? OK so you try and be extra careful but what about the information about what is gathered about your daily online habits. What am I talking about its Google. Google has become so much apart of our daily lives and I think much more then you realize. Besides the many google features such as gmail, google docs, google calendars did you ever stop to think that most websites use google business apps to help them. Business apps like google analytics which tracks your browsing history. Now we have google Chrome. Ok were am I going with this? Well PCWorld did a article

Does Google Know Too Much About You?

Do you trust Google? If you use its multitude of online services on a daily basis you might, but is that assumption wise? For some, Google is a wonderful company with a broad selection of useful online tools that make life easier, but for others Google is a looming, unregulated monster just waiting for the moment to drop the ‘don't' from the company's unofficial motto, "Don't be evil."

OK this is what got my attention in the article and made me think.....

In 2007, PC World published this startling chart showing the privacy risks for your information. The basic problem was that all your information is just sitting there on Google's servers unencrypted, raising the risk of data loss, theft, or unauthorized access.

Never mind if a Google employee tries to get that information, but what if the government subpoenas Google? The company says it has a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to satisfy an "enforceable governmental request" among other situations. Sure, the government could go after you for that same information stored on your own computer, but the feds could also get it from Google without you ever knowing, according to PC World's article "Is Google Too Big?"

Now am I really worried about the Government, not really but I probably should be. What I don't like is that yeah my information is sitting there on unencrypted servers. Ok that raised some red flags that I'm not thrilled about. I mean seriously what is to stop some nut job from snagging our information? It makes you wonder what is really out there and how much of it do they know. Atleast I love my Firefox and Adblock because I block alot of the google business apps like google analytics and such with Ricks Easylist (love it - that is a must subscription)

So anyone out there now wondering about how really secure their information is out there?
