Life is Good :)

Ya know I think everyone has a time in their life that they look back over it and think life is good or they start to see what they need to improve on. Now I'm not saying that my life in any ways is perfect, I don't really think anyone can. Those who do I'll be honest those are the ones who I think have the most issues. Like I said my life is not perfect, I've had my share of disappointments but I try to see the positive and I try to make the disappointments a learning experience. I'm sure in life I'll have more and that is ok, you just learn to move on.

So I got the book "Resilience" and I read it cover to cover. I fully admit I bought it because I thought it would be Elizabeth trashing her hubby John Edwards. WOW it wasn't and I will admit it was a awesome book. Regardless if you liked or disliked John it wasn't a book about his life it was about hers. She talked about the death of her dad some but it really was a mom pouring out her soul on the death of her son. Now as she is dying of cancer she doesn't fear it like you would think she knows she has a son on the other side that she will see. The book wasn't depressing it really was motivational. It made me think you know what Life is Good, I have my health and most important I have my children.

Today I was suppose to have meetings back to back. We had a few other dealerships coming to our office for a meetings (we do this often). Monday that was all put on hold. I got a email from one of the other dealers that Elaine and Franks son died over the weekend (they own another dealership and would have been at the meeting). Frankie jr was 18 yrs old. They found him dead in his room, they think it was heart related. The meetings were put on hold. Now my heart breaks for Elaine and Frank, there good ppl. I didn't know their son, only pictures but he was their only son (they also have a daughter). After reading "Resilience" and reading about what Elizabeth Edwards went though my heart really breaks for Elaine. I can't imagine loosing one of my kids so it makes me hold them a little tighter and think yes life is good I have my kids.

So what is my blog about? Well its just to say that regardless of what curve balls life throws at you that you need to make the best of it. There are no guarantees that you will always have your health or that you will grow old, life can be cruel. Instead of holding grudges move on, negativity only will bring you down. Make the most out of your life as you never know when your last day will be. Prioritize your life and when it comes to family hold them a little tighter.

What is that saying "When life gives you lemons make lemonade"
