Vicki Walker an employee of New Zealand's ProCare Health was fired for using ALL CAPS IN HER EMAILS. Vicki sued for wrongful termination and won the case. Apparently she had sent emails to fellow workers with instructions on how to fill out forms, and had used a combination of bold, red and all caps fonts.

I know how annoying it is to get an email that is in ALL CAPS, apart from it being considered that someone is shouting at you, its pretty difficult to read. From what I can tell she was just trying to get across to her co-workers how to follow a simple procedure. Did she sound rude and harsh? probably, but it didn't warrant getting fired. Was she being confrontational? possibly, how do you decipher when someone is being confrontational in an email? by the words they write? the "tone" of their writing, and how can you prove it I don''t Know

I'm glad she won her case, I think her firing was a complete joke.
