So if any of you play Mafia Wars on Facebook, you know that it's nice (and proper) to send your fellow Mafia friends energy packs every chance you get. This allows them to do more jobs which will increase their experience points and increase their bank accounts. In my experience there has been some confusion over how to do this exactly, and some questions have arisen like, "How can I send an energy pack to a specific person"? or "When I send my Mafia an energy pack it seems to randomly pick just certain people, what's up with that"? and the most common one is "hey I've been trying to send you an energy pack but I can't"? Well here's answers to those 3 questions below.

First:

How can I send an energy pack to a specific person?

From the home page go to My Mafia.

View Your Mafia

Scroll down a bit then you will then see a list of your mafia (for privacy reasons, I have my Mafia names hidden which would be to the far left). If you can send an energy pack to a specific person you will see a yellow envelope button next to the "promote" button. If you click on that, that specific person will get an energy pack from you.

You need to know that you (or anybody else) can only receive ONE energy pack within a 23 hour period. So for example, if geekgirl sends me an energy pack at 10:00 a.m. then I cannot receive another one from ANYBODY until at least 23 hours later. In the example above everyone on my list with the exception of that one has obviously received an energy pack from someone else in their mafia in the last 23 hours.

When I send my Mafia an energy pack it seems to randomly pick just certain people, what's up with that"?

This happens when you are on the View Your Mafia page and you click the "send energy to your mafia" button. This will automatically send energy packs to anyone who is capable of receiving one, so basically its the same thing as above but it's faster because it automatically picks out the people who are eligible to receive one instead of you picking them individually. I used to do it this way, and when I did I would get a notification pop up saying that I had sent energy packs to this person and that person. I thought that I could pick and choose who I wanted to send them to, that's not the case.

Lastly, "Hey I've been trying to send you an energy pack but I can't"?

This simply means that either of the previous two examples have been exercised. It may seem obvious, but it has caused confusion among a lot of people. I'm a Mafia Wars addict, I would know Big Grin
