You know that if you sleep too little or if you sleep too much, you might be pretty tired the next day. There's a solution that may help. It's called WakeMate. No, it won't help you sleep--but it will help you figure out what is the best time to set your alarm clock for, to make you feel your best the next day. Also, the wrong amount of sleep may take away from your life span...

"There's been at least two epidemiological studies to show that if people get less than five hours, or more than 10 hours of sleep, it increases their mortality," said Michael Breus, the clinical director of the sleep division at Southwest Spine and Sports in Scottsdale, Arizona.

WakeMate is a wristband that works in tandem with its mobile app. It studies your sleep by your wrist movements during the night, figuring out where your sleep cycles are, REM, etc using a science called actigraphy. It will then help you figure out what your optimal wake-up time should be.

Now this seems very cool to me. It would be even cooler IMO (if it doesn't do this) if it could -while it's tracking your sleep cycles-automatically tell your Phone's Alarm when you should wake up and ring at that specific time.

I don't think I would use it very much because my primary problem is not being able to go to sleep until sometimes pretty late and then having to wake up early for work or b/c of kiddo. But I think it would be ideal for the busy single adult.

Would this be something any of you would use?
