So often I'm asked about different trackers out there. The majority I have tried out, some I like and some I did not care for. Basically its asking yourself what are you looking for in a tracker. Well one question that often comes up is what is my favorite tracker, which one would I recommend.
For me that question is easy by far I think the best tracker out there is profiletracker.us Why do I find that one the best well there are a few reasons. First they have a HUGE data base of profiles that were either identified of that they received a positive hit. I dunno something about being on another tracker and getting a hit but still left there wondering OK so who's profile is this. Now do they identify ever single hit - no but by far they surpass the other trackers out there. Ok I can hear it now "but wait don't you have to pay to use profiletracker?" and the answer is YES. Profiletracker is not a free tracker but is $5.00 a month, I mean come on what is that a trip to McDonalds? You know that saying you get what you pay for. Also huge bonus for those who remember you also get HideInTheSky (aka HITS) free as a member of profiletracker. HITS is now exclusive to profiletracker.
So let me give you a tour of what you will see on profiletracker and why I think its worth the $5.00 a month
This is what it looks like when you track a person. New tracks will always show in green and older ones in gray. So for my example the gray one was a positive hit and identified the profile. The green one (a new hit) was not positively identified but profiletracker does search its data base for possable identifications based on a few items that they tracked (browser string items). They also give you a few profiles on who they think it could be a match with so that you can look at them and identify them.

Now once they have tracked them you can go a few steps farther. You can click on the little buttons up top (you can see it on the green hit above in the red square). The first button is IP which will give you more information on the IP address (see example 1), The second button is to get information on the browser (agentstring). That is one way to identify the user by what they have installed on there computer and which browser they are using
see example 2).

HideInTheSky (aka HITS) for those of you who are not familiar with it let me explain. It is a great tool that will help you identify some information on a myspace profile. One thing it will search for is if that profile has a tracker on it or not. So here is a example of what HITS will show. Now it goes more into details but this will give you a idea (and yes this is my profile).

A few other things that profiletracker has is that you are able to search their data base for information on a IP address or on a myspace ID. That makes it nice, you might not have tracked them but maybe someone else did. Finally they also have a very helpful forum if you should have any issue with your tracker. So its not like the here you go now figure it out on your own, they are willing to help / trouble shoot issues with you.

I just thought since I know some complain "why should I have to pay" that they should get a idea of what they are getting for their money - its alot. Again its $5.00 so give it a try if your interested in it check out profiletracker.us and if you don't find its what you want then you can always cancel.
