Re: AVATAR - 3D vs 2D

Actually yes my middle son saw it 3D then 2D. When I went to see it the first time in 2D my middle child was camping with dad so he didn't see it the first time with us. He did see it with us in 3D for the first time. This morning he went with his little buddies to the theater around the corner and saw it in 2D. He got home about a hour ago and I asked him what he thought. He said 3D was cool but that he just noticed more in 2D that he didn't in 3D and that the colors were sharper. For the record he is 15 yrs old.

Like you I did also see it in 3D at the IMAX. Where I live that is the only option if you want to see it in 3D. Maybe my opinion would be different if it was in 3D on a regular size screen. At the IMAX we sat in the middle of the theater and I couldn't tell you who the glasses were made by (as the one poster said made a differance) just that they had IMAX printed on them.

Either way I think everyone would agree its a awesome movie to see!
