Cats chuck all the time. It's what they do. My cat, Bubba is pretty good about that though, and rarely yaks. He knows his owner hates it.
When he does though, it's pretty simple, I throw on the hazmat suit, and call in the special cat yak removal experts, because if I have to do it myself, there'll be 4x the amount of belly juice on the floor, namely from me. I used to know a person who'd pick it up with her bare hands. She even sent me a pic of a handful of what looked like a pile of raw hamburger in her naked hand, but it was actually cat yak.
