So have you heard the Movie AVATAR is racist? OK you're saying why? Well towards the end of the movie two WHITE men look at Jake Sully (the blue 9' Avatar) "How does it feel to betray your own race?". There ya go that one line has turned some into a anti Avatar protesters shouting out its racist. All because James Cameron (the writer/director) has choosen it to be said by two white men and not a black and a white guy.
Yahoo has reported:
Since the film opened to widespread critical acclaim three weeks ago, hundreds of blog posts, newspaper articles, tweets and YouTube videos have said things such as the film is "a fantasy about race told from the point of view of white people" and that it reinforces "the white Messiah fable."
I honestly don't see the racial slur here. OK so what if they had a black and a white say the one saying "How does it feel to betray your own race?" would the Oriental and Latin think its racist? Lets face it James Cameron made the Avatar creatures blue, personally I prefer pink so should I take offense at the blue? Where does it end? I honestly think some people just like to bitch to hear themselves. They need a soap box to stand on and they will do anything to do it.
Anyone here offended by the movie? Do you really feel its racist?
