Sad day on what should be a great opening day at the Olympics when Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili during a luge training run was killed.
Here is a shocking quote made by another luger PRIOR to this crash on Thursday: CLICKY
“I think they are pushing it a little too much,” Australia’s Hannah Campbell-Pegg told the Associated Press on Thursday after she nearly lost control in training. “To what extent are we just little lemmings that they just throw down a track and we’re crash-test dummies? I mean, this is our lives.”
Campbell-Pegg’s words should haunt these Games.
What also sadden me was that AP posted the guys name PRIOR to his family being told and they said that in the article - I find that horrible. If that was not enough NBC showed the crash where the guy was killed. They showed him flying in the air (and it was close up) and hitting his head.
that is wrong - the man died show some respect for him and his family.
