So Gizmodo did a story that when I clicked on it the picture made me laugh - loved it

Online breakups

Basically they did a story on breaking up with someone online and the steps you take. Here are the main bullet points and a brief explanation of them:

  1. Change Your Relationship Status - ok this is obvious. Basically you change your facebook/myspace... from taken to single or "its complicated"

  2. Yank Some Pictures - nothing like still showing a album of you and the partner all snuggled up.

  3. To Unfriend or Not to Unfriend - do you stay friends of dump them?

  4. Limit Their Access - on facebook you can limit what they see so do you do it?

  5. Change Your Passwords - just in case they had access to them or you shared them.

  6. Save Things You Want - if they have any pictures on thier facebook/myspace save them while you can or they may long gone.

  7. Consider Blocking Them - do you walk away and block them cutting all ties?

So I'm thinking there are more things that you should do. I mean friends kinda come into play. Sometimes your friends with someone though the ex - do you dump them or do you stay friends. I know it sounds childish but nothing like a spy on your page to cause more drama. What about other sites like forum sites? I mean the person could really stock you on them so do you change your name on those sites?

So what other steps do you thing that online breakups cause or could cause? Any steps we are missing that should be here?
