Syncing Mac Address Book With Google / Gmail / Yahoo Contacts

This is a new feature in Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and now you can sync your Mac Address Book contacts to your Google or Yahoo Account, virtually eliminating the need to purchase Mobile Me.

To set this up:

Open Address Book - from the dock, not from your Mail:app account
Click on "Address Book" and "Preferences"
Click on "Accounts"
Select the account "On My Mac Local" and check the checkbox next to "Synchronize with Google or Yahoo"

How to Sync Mac Address Book With Google / Gmail / Yahoo Contacts

A box will come up asking you to agree or disagree
Enter your Google / Yahoo Account login

Click "OK"
Your done!

Note: Syncing won't happen immediately - it can take up to about an hour.
