Well if you're planning a trip to Israel then you might want to leave your iPad at home or risk it being taken away. Israel has banned iPads and Europe might also follow though with that too. So why have they banned them?
According to yahoo, "The U.S. Federal Communications Commission allows devices with Wi-Fi capability to broadcast at higher power levels than are allowed in Europe and Israel — meaning that the iPad's stronger signal could throw off others' wireless connections, Schubert said.
"If you operate equipment in a frequency band which is different from the others that operate on that frequency band, then there will be interference," said Nati Schubert, a senior deputy director for the Communications Ministry. "We don't care where people buy their equipment. ... But without regulation, you would have chaos."

Now if you're caught or if you happened to be one of the few who purchased one prior to the ban then the Israeli gov. will be more then happy to store it for you, for a fee of course.
