Ok here is how to do a private profile page fancy. What is a fancy private profile?

This is the basic standard private profile (this is MY profile)

This is a private profile with a background added (this is a friends profile):

BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING you need to copy your codes on your profile. How do you do that well simply open a word file or note pad and copy each section of your profile (you know the general, about me, interests, music....). That way if you have any issues you can always paste your codes back in should they change. Better safe than sorry.

To do the Profile editor you need to be in IE - this will not work in Firefox (stupid myspace I know - eww IE).

First you need to know what your background image is on your profile. Now you can do this two ways. You can view your background code or you can find it by your view source on your profile. So what are you looking for? Well look in your code for a image URL like this one:

Then search till you find your background code it will look like this:

once you have your image (it will either be a .jpeg or a .gif) then you need to go to "edit theme". To get to that you can go to edit profile on your home page then on the far right you will see profile editor <Please see UPDATE down below>- click on that:

Click on "Edit Theme" and then on "Background" once there add your background URL in the box like below:

for color you want white and repeat on both. The following other areas I did not have to touch but here is a snap shot of each of the other areas for you to check if you would like.

Let me be the first to say doing this CAN be a huge pain in the butt. I did this to help explain but do not come running to me if your profile gets somewhat screwed up. Remember your dealing with myspace editor and well myspace likes to screw things up some. So fair warning - this is the reason the plain profile above is mine. Personally I dont want myspace screwing with my profile anymore then they like to already.

If you mess up hit "Clear All" to start over (you may have to do this a couple of times)

UPDATE: (this was changed after myspace introducted the new 2.0 myspace)

When myspace did some changes they changed how you find the "edit theme". You need to go to profile edit. To get to that you can go to edit profile on your home page then on the far right you will see "profile themes", you need to click on that

once you click on that you will get a pop up - click OK

once you click on that you will see the "edit theme" on the left hand side - from there follow the instructions above
