I saw this picture and it made me laugh

Then I thought about it and its true, I mean how annoying is it that you are forced to watch 10 lbs of crap before the movie starts? I mean if you want it on the disk add it at the very end so I have the choice to watch or not watch. In my opinion they are pirating my time forcing me to watch all of that when that is NOT what I paid for. Does it annoy you also?

Re: DVD - Pirated vs Buying

I've seen a couple of blu-rays myself though I don't own one, but none of the people I know who have it ever said anything like that. Thats a serious customer service faux-paus if it's true.
I'd love to get a blue ray player, one reason why I'm considering a PS3PS3 with tax money. I do download a good deal but I'd want certain things for my blu-ray like Star Wars and Matrix ect;

I didn't think about the PS3PS3 being a blu-ray. My son has a PS3PS3 but I've never watched a movie on it - he has. I'll have to ask him when he comes home.

Re: DVD - Pirated vs Buying

That's why when I rip DVDs I only rip the actual movie. I very rarely watch the extras and I couldn't care less about the previews and or ads that at the beginning. So dumb. I like to put it in and have it immediately start the movie.

Re: DVD - Pirated vs Buying

Generally I'm ok with just having the movie, but for osme I do actually like having the slick menu's and the extras that are on the real DVD, plus when you rip a DVD you lose some quality on the re-encode process. It's not usually too noticable but it can be sometimes.

One thing I like to do sometimes is get the ripped movies, and them using something like Sony DVD Architect, put 2-3 movies onto one DVD with my own custom menu's, buttons, music, etc.
