In Win7 whenever I'm trying to copy or move some files over to another folder by dragging and dropping, the Explorer windows expand automatically and it screws me up. I often accidentally drop the files in the wrong folder because it expands just as I let go of the mouse button. In Control panel\Folder Options I already have "Automatically expand to current folder" unchecked, but it still does it. Does anyone know how to stop this behavior?

You're not the only one who has had issues with that. Best think you can do is install a easy little program that trust me you will love. The program will give you in your right click menu a "Copy to folder" and "Move to folder" option. Here is how to do that (really easy to do): How To Add Copy To Folder / Move To Folder To Your Right Click Menu
