Hello,
I need help with a problem with my Sony Vaio laptop serial # PCG-71318L.
I need to replace my wireless mouse.
The touchpad is turned off and I cannot figure out how to turn it on among the control panel options. I see on online forums others had this problem but I see no solutions.
I have tried to install 2 new wireless mice. When I do this the new mice do not work.
I cannot uninstall my original mouse because if I do I will neither have a mouse or a touchpad and not be able to use the laptop at all.
Please help!.
Thanks.
Just wanted to say thank you, I've been looking in the control panel menu on how to enable the mouse/touch pad for nearly one hour and then decided to try the internet for help as the inbuilt help was useless. The touch pad is now activated again and I will remember how to de-activate it. I am disappointed that my pc/touch pad is ultra sensitive when typing in MS Word and my cursor starts moving without my noticing! Thought it was just my pc however it appears I'm not the only one - Sony have hopefully corrected this design fault... Thanks again, the instructions were simple - perfect for a non IT person like me!
Have a look at our solution here for how to disable and renable the touchpad on the Sony Vaio, it's a winner.
