Does anyone recommend a better image Hosting site than PB? One where they don't decided that they're going to delete a long string of images for no reason. (Warning, rant below)
So I signed on my PB account to find a image was deleted because it violated ToS. I click to read the file name to see which one it was... it was a small .gif of a sheep jumping rope (yes men, you can roll your eyes). How in Hades does that violate ToS? In fact, I Googled the term so I can find the image again and save it to my comp. Guess where I found it? Another PB user's album! Still there, happily skipping rope. How does mine violate ToS but their's doesn't?
So I contacted them with my complaint and when it was sent, I saw that even more images had been deleted--while I was writing my complaint! Problem is, those file names were "scrambled" so I have no idea what they were, thus, no idea how to get them back. I'm not using PB anymore and I'm sure they don't give a flying **** anyway.

nope its open to all. OK love the sheep jumping rope - that is great!
, How can anyone mark him as being violation of ToS? Poor little guy.
OK I had to re read it - he was the TOS violation?????
Oh yeah I can see.....hummm what a joke. Atleast when I got the TOS boot it was for really breaking the TOS. I'm going to steal your sheep and add him to my photobucket and see if I get a TOS violation. HAHA I feel like walking on the wild side...I know its baaaaaaddddddddd *said is sheep voice*
<--in my photobucket waiting for a TOS. Jump sheep jump -
Scary. I have about 1000 photos on PB and not all are saved anywhere else. The only other place I have photos is Shutterfly because I order prints from their sometimes. They also let you share your albums and do not delete the pics if you don't make a purchase like some other sites do.
It's a stretch, and probably not likely, but I wonder if they have some software running through everyone's albums, checking for duplicate filenames/file sizes, and deleting all matches except for one, to free up some space on their servers, thinking the people who's got deleted will do a search and just link to the one left in someone else's album.
I have a great pic of a wolf playing leap frog over a grazing sheep ... no matter how many times I look at it, I slap my knee. It better not be gone!
Edit:
Still there ...

well photobucket offers a link at the top of all pics to "copy to your album" so that you can snag pics easy. I dunno..... I have seen them delete pics that had a TOS name but were ok - stupid!
