ok, so I bought one and all I can say is (clicky).
I added the hacked firmware upgrade and it's waaaaaaaay better now too, which you can get right here and here. And here are more details on it. So far it's been perfect. I'm temporarily in .
Seeeeeeeeeeeeeee I told you so - its a awesome DVD player (especally if your a torrent person).
I haven't hacked mine and I probably will down the road. I would be all over it if it let you change the flash from Fat32 to NTFS . I'm glad you liked it. (your clicky made me )
. Yea, evidently no players will do NTFS filesystems, yet. But I'd highly recommend upgrading the firmware. The filebrowser alone is well worth it. One lil tip though if/when you do: anytime ya mess with firmware you end up holding your breath and getting nervous ... I've messed with firmware on 50 different things and I still do, . When the cd tray pops out and you're just sitting there holding your breath waiting, don't get jumpy and close the tray, just wait it out. It seems like it's taking forever and there's no real sign that it's doing anything. Just looks a little frozen, but it'll work. The whole thing took me about 45 seconds to a minute using the Flash Drive to upgrade the firmware, but that 45 seconds/1 minute seemed to take forever.
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG. I. AM. IN. LOVE.
Not only does it make my regular DVD's look better on my HDTV (I'm too pooooor for Blue-Ray), but all me and me matey's get to watch movies on my Flash Drive! I can't tell you how pleased I am. SM, you are the BEST
YAY - I'm glad you liked this. I agree this DVD player is da Bomb!
I personally love this: SanDisk Cruzer Micro 16 GB USB 2.0 Drive
How is it possible that 2 DvD players can die in the same night? Gonna go check this one out.. Green + shopping = happy
I'm sure this is somewhere on the site, but I can't find it... Okay, so I love my DVD player. But I have discovered it doesn't play MPEG4 files ie: movies downloaded from iTunes. Is there a good program (free) that can convert these files and other unsupported files to .avi?

I'm wondering if the iTunes DRM protection is the reason? I haven't tried any myself yet, but according to this page, is says the dvd player is supposed to support MP4. Either way, the DiVX package itself has a converter in it, and here are a couple of other freeware options to try.

OMG its awesome! Last night I found THIS 400 GB USB 2.0 External and also thought, ohhhhhhhhhhhh its usb powered and 400GB that would hold alot of stuff and I could just plug that baby into the DVD player and really be set! But at the very least the DVD player is sweet!
