Text message without a cell phone
So if your stuck with one of those carriers that charges to text message or you simply don't have a cell phone well your not out of the loop. Did you know you can send a email to a phone and they receive it as a text. Its FREE to do this however depending on their plan depends if thy are charged (standard text messaging fees). The only thing you need to know is who their cell phone provider is. Once you know that you can do it this way......

I forgot to add that they can also reply back to you and it will go to the email that you texted them from.
My kids use this some as I am a bad mom and have removed thier texting option from their phones. I did that because well you can text all day long in school (in class) and the teachers don't know - yeah I dont think so! So they can text from home thier friend still but via their PC's.

verizon.com you can send a text message right from the site. and i dont have it anymore but i thought yahoo im had a texting option too.
Yeah with Windows Live Messenger you can text someone from there too but its a pain. I have a friend that will shoot me texts from there but I can't reply - huge pain in the booty. I'm loving the site critter found - you dont have to know who they use as a carrier
