When i got to the password reset page the box where you type the new password was really thin and it wouldnt let me click on it

Try it with another web browser? I just visited it in Google Chrome and it's working fine for me.

Which browser did you use? And did you try it with a different browser? That's usually just CSS (code) related, the way it renders in the browser. I just visited it in Google Chrome and it's looking normal.
the lines are to small for me to be able to change my password on kik and i need to keep in touch with family so how do i change it?

You'll have to do a password reset on their website. If you go to this page on the Kik website: Reset your Kik Password (the page is designed for your phone or mobile device but also works with your regular internet and computer) you just enter your email address that you signed up to Kik with and it will send you a link to reset your password:
