Well I'm finally going to do it folks, next year sometime i'm planning to drive cross country from Los Angeles back to VA with a couple of friends. it will be my first time doing this and I would like to do Route 66 at some point. I'm looking for some tips, do's and dont's, helpful hints to make this trip go smoother, i would also like suggestions on where to stop along the way, (planning on taking the southern route) such as national parks, areas of interest, as well as how to do it all on a budget, realistically how much money would I really need?

OK the first time I saw a Smart car I couldn't believe how small it was. Now comes along the GM EN-V and holy crap it make the Smart Car look like a SUV. Check out these pictures of it:

If you have ever checked out google maps then you know that they also have what they call "Street view" where you get a view of the street just like you were standing there yourself. For an example if I were to go searching for Palm Beach, FL. here is a street view

i wanted to share this cute website with all of you. my cousin posted it on facebook tonight. it lets you track santa
right now you can see he has left gifts all over europe and is on his way to america.

Does anyone know of a website or something where I can see what the weather was on any past date, for any place in the United State? Like if I wanted to see the temperature in Anaheim California on 10-21-2009?

OK Southwest airlines is putting on a huge sale. Southwest Airlines has launched an air fare sale in which some flights cost the same as what other carriers charge to check a bag.
Dallas-based Southwest on Tuesday announced one-way travel as low as $25, based on the length of the flight.
The discount carrier says fares are $25 for travel up to 375 miles. The price is $50 for travel between 375 and 549 miles, and $75 for flights between 550 and 999 miles.
A one-way fare of more than 1,000 miles costs $100.

This story basically freaks me out because I do not have a love with snakes. So get this there was a guy in Norway who tried to smuggle out of the country a few reptiles. Just a few the guy had 14 Royal Pythons and 10 albino leopard geckos under his clothes. I kid you not they were taped to his body. The snakes were taped in bags to his chest and the geckos to his legs. Could you image the person who had to search him?

So your on a plane be it for business or personal and the pilot misses the airport not a little but alot. Yep that is what happened on a Northwest flight from San Diego to Minnesota. According to the pilots they were in a heated discussion and didn't realize it but they didn't just miss it by a little but by 150 miles. Not only did they miss it but the radio tower tried to reach them for over a hour. The FAA are investigating if they didn't fall asleep.

I know that when I travel, I want to have the comforts of home, even when I'm away. Ususally nice hotel rooms in some cities can cost $200 or more! So why stay in a hotel for that much when you could find a house to stay in for the same amount???
This site is called home away. Basically, people put rentals up on the site, have pictures, tell you what is around their property... They have listings all over the US and international...
