Can't Install Nvidia Drivers!

So I recently ran into another hair-pulling issue trying to install the latest drivers for my Nvidia Graphics Card (which happens to be a 560Ti DirectCUii, not that it matters ) on Windows 7 x64, where the installer would cough up an error saying "NVIDIA Installer failed". This happened over and over no matter what I did ... and I was sad. (more like pissed off actually) ...

I'm shopping around for a new video card for my pc and am utterly confused with all of the options and terminology! Some cards have the same name but with a "TI" attached to it, does anyone know what the TI stands for, and does that mean it's better or worse??
