I know when some get hitlisted they totally freak out. I say don't as long as your equipment is up and good then use hitlisting to build your stats.

example:

yeah I died in the end but only because I ran out of health. However for that one death I racked up the wins
See if I had been online I would have healed and really racked up the wins

So if your good then hitlisting can really work for you
