So from the chicken pox school of thought, the makers of this INFLU mask are obviously thinking, "Get it over with! Get the swine flu naturally instead of waiting for the vaccine!"
The "world's first flu collector mask is unveiled" by the creators Michel Bussien and Erik Sjödin.
Rather than trying to delay or avoid a flu infection, why not plan it? The INFLU flu collector mask helps you to get sick when you want to.
The INFLU mask is outfitted with a battery driven micro-fan on the inhalation valve that increases the intake of viruses in ambient air through the respiratory system. Wear it to plan your sickness, develop antibodies for the flu and strengthen your immune system the natural way.
According to its creators, Michel Bussien and Erik Sjödin, the comfortable and convenient mask can be worn in everyday situations – such as while commuting to and from work – and increases the prospect of getting the Swine flu (H1N1) as well as the regular seasonal flu by several hundred percent.
Pretty seksy i don't in any way condone this and i don't understand why people would want to expose themselves to EVERYTHING that is out there more than they already do. Yeah you might build your immune system, or..... you might crash it!!
Whatchya think?
Update (6/21/12) by STaRDoGG (GeekDrop Owner):
I was contacted yesterday by the "creators" of the InFlu Mask requesting to have this article removed:
Dear GeekDrop
We would like to ask you to remove this post from your web:
(This article link)
The flu mask is a fictional product that spread on the internet without being properly contextualized or clearly described as a fictive product.
We see a risk in it being mistaken for a real product and that this may cause confusion, possibly to the extend that people could come to harm.
Therefore we think it would be best if it was taken off the internet.
Thank you for your understanding,
Michel Bussien and Erik Sjödin
I suggested that rather than remove it, it would be a better idea to keep it, along with their clarification of it, so that in the future anyone who may also be unsure of it's validity, may find this article (or be linked to it) and there will no longer be anymore confusion, to which they agreed:
Hi Scott,
Thanks for your reply,
You have a point. We didn't think of the option to make a clarifying statement in the post. The mask is a conceptual design / design for debate project and it doesn't make much sense outside of the context it was intended for. We think it is unfortunate if it is mistaken for a real product or as encouragement to actually get the flu, which seems like the case on your site, and we don't think it would be good if it spread further on the internet. For this reason we thought the best thing would be if the post was removed.
If you still want to keep the post then it would be good if you made it clear in the post that the mask isn't a real product.
Thank you,
Erik
Hope that clears everything up.
oh boy, I wish they had an affiliate program. I could make a million bucks!

Uhhhh yeah I think I will pass. OK this in my opinion goes down a one of the stupidest things I've seen. Yes the flu is out there and has been (some strain) every year. I for one have not gotten it every year. I think in the last 10 years maybe 2 or 3 times tops. Why would I want to infect myself with something that I might not get????
Yep I would say this is a FAIL! Pass for me....
