i was wondering if there was any way to place a tracker in your headline? is it possible to link the tracker to your default pic somehow being that myspace has filtered out pics in the headline? or beacuse the tracker is an img, is this not possible? thanks!
thanks, i was just wondering. if i switch to 2.0 and change to private, will the tracker show in the headline? or is it better just to stay public? profiletracker states that they don't support 2.0 with their tracker codes,at least not the click tracker, but i've seen some posts where people state that the code doesn't show. idk! anybody got any input on this?
Well that is a hard call - I'm not sure to be honest. I guess you could try and see what happens (you can always go back). I know that alot of trackers say they don't support 2.0 also there are some vulnerabilities with 2.0 so be careful that way (its a very hit or miss thing). If you do the switch let us know if you see issues with the different trackers you use.
i sure will, i've got nothing to lose by trying. i'll keep everyone posted with my results/failures! ! now, let's see what works and what doen't.
yeah I dont see it there. I checked my profile and my pic doesn't even show in my headline :-( It shows if your logged in or a friend but not to non friends
I'm public and mine is not showing either..so, yes I think only on private ones is this an issue
I have trackers in mine too and its still not showing up ! I know it did show up in myprivate profile so I think you are right !
in 2.0 isn't viewing the headline optional? i thought i remember a post about that. if that's the case, could a tracker be placed there or being that it's actually an image, will it be filtered out also?
ok, so i changed to 2.0 and tried to see if my tracker code showed and it didn't, but it did not allow my tracker to track my ip addy when i logged out and checked my profile do to the app that i need in order for my tracker to work. so is it worth changing over, i don't know. all i did find out was when you change your modules privacy to friends only, it seems to disable search queries. at least it did for me. so i switched to everyone, and it worked again. but the tracker did seem to pick up ip addy's. and no i didn't break myspace, but how cool would it be to be the guy who broke myspace? hahaha!

Right now trackers are showing in headlines and there is nothing we can do about that. Nope you can't put a tracker in your default becuase they are hosted on myspaces server (the picture) so no way to embed that. The only possible way I can think of is to host your own private tracker in a image and make that image your background and do a private layout. Its not a easy step and would require you to create your own private tracker unless you can find a way to use a tracker that way. I may have to play with that idea on a backup profile some.
