Well it looks like Facebook has made some more changes. For Fan Pages the button is no longer marked as "Become a Fan", it's marked as another "Like" button, with the same effect.
I'm not sure of the working theory behind it, whether it'll make any difference, but it'll be fun to see. I think the idea is if you see someone become a fan of a page, and you just click the "Like" link, you'll automatically become a fan too.

Wow they changed a LOT of the profile stuff, it looks different now.
Foolishly I clicked on the changes instead of just ignoring it and seeing if I could keep the old ways. I also seem to not have groups any more. Really it's kinda ty, I don't like it
What changed? The only visible things I see are the thread topic, and how they added small thumbs to the feed when someone becomes friends with someone else?
well the order of the profile info changed, these little boxes pop up whenever you're going to write something in them instead of links, I don't have any groups listed anymore, when I searched a group manually and got to the page I can't see all the people who are a part of it. There are also these ugly boxes on the side of your likes (books, movies ect;)
There are probably other things but I'm too tired to mess with it now. I liekd it better before though
I'd like to see a Like & Dislike button to be honest!
that would be funny. I could see some groups would have more dislikes then likes. Then the admin of the fan page could see who dislikes them - that could get ugly.
I like "fan" better. It just doesn't sound right saying hey come "like" my page vs come be a "fan" of my page.

According to Facebook:
"Liking" a Page
On the other hand, when you click "Like" on a piece of content that a friend posts, you are simply letting your friend know that you like it without leaving a comment.
