My sister in law accidentally deleted her "vacation"pictures
on her digital camera. Anyone know of a way to undelete them?
Any help would really be appreciated.
I really appreciate it, and know my sister n law really will too.
Add more info and hope it helps.
Well, when you suffer any data loss on your digital cameras (memory card), the first thing should do - immidiately stop using the same camera memory card to take more photos or videos in case possibilities of data recovery might be greatly reduced. As to software, this site Digital Camera Recovery displays a list of free programs for both PC & Mac OS X.

Download this program. Recuva.
If the camera has internal memory only plug it in. If it has a memory card plug that into the computer then open the program. there is a wizard that will walk you through the process from there. It has an option for type of file, location of files (this is where you select either the camera or the memory card. Once you click next check the box that says enable deep scan. Click start and wait. Once it's done you will be presented with the files it found and what condition they are in. Check what you want and recover them from there.
When yo click delete on a file it doesn't really delete it (unless you have done some kung fu to make that happen). Think of it like white out for your hard drive. It's still there just covered in a thin layer of digital white out. This program removes the white out to let you see the file again.
Edit, I assume you have a Windows based computer to perform the recover on.
Good luck.
