Reports by TMZ, LA Times and MSNBC are saying that yes Micheal Jackson is indeed dead. CNN are saying he is in a coma. Either way there are family members gathering at the hospital
Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.
A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive. We're told one of the staff members at Jackson's home called 911. La Toya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.
NBC says he is dead, Fox News is saying coma. CNN is reporting that LA TIMES has reported he had died but they have not confirmed it. MSNBC says a family friend has confirmed he is dead. Associated Press is also reporting he had passed away.
Wonder were his kids are at and if they will go back to the mom if this is true.
MSNBC said the kids are with the mom (Debbie Rowe) at this time
I agree he was a amazing singer and performer. Unfortunately I think his life style and choices will supersede his passing. It makes you wonder what really happened to make such a drastic turn from the Jackson 5 years till now days. The massive amount of plastic surgery didn't help either...odd
I think the world has lost two talented ppl today, Farrah and now Michael.
I really coulnd't believe this when i heard it.
50 is not old, and to have a heart attack at that age is so tragic. sometimes Its easy to forget that he was black and black men have a very high risk for heart problems at a younger age than anyone else.
Even though I think he was a pedo, I can't be absolutely sure, but nevertheless I am still saddened by it. I grew up on so many of his tunes, In fact I probably know every song of his from the bad album back, including the Jackson 5 days. I have a lot of good memories of his stuff and I still remember when he was the best entertainer in the business and the biggest star in the world by FAR. I can't help but think of what could have been now, like what would have happened had he not had those charges, or what would have happened had he not been so strange(or at least it not be known that he was). Its really sad, but at least we have the music to listen to forever.
i can't even express how saddened i am by this news. i was in the city today and every person i walked by that was on the phone was saying- "oh my God did you hear? Michael Jackson died"
this is shocking news....i used to listen to "Bad", "Thriller", "Smooth Criminal" ALL the time with my cousin when we were younger...watched the video movie weekly...RIP MJ...what a loss...
"I wanna rock with you..." loved that song too...
"I wanna rock with you..." loved that song too...
Yup, that and "Off the Wall" and "Beat It" were my favs..... I still can't believe he's dead
I was watching HLN this morning, and of course this was almost all they were talking about. It was over an hour about all his accomplishments and hits, but eventually they got to talking about how the guy was a bit of a wacko. I mean, seriously, he was a great performer, maybe the best of his time. And that's coming from me, a person who hasn't liked a MJ song since elementary school. But holy crap, he was a wacko! He made billions, and when he died owed more than he had. I'm not going to get into the question if he was a child molestor or not. I don't know enough of the facts. I would almost be willing to subscribe to the theroy that he was non-sexual at all. I dunno.
But here is my question: Was Michael Jackson a great, giving, generous guy? Was he known for giving to charities and helping people? I don't know, I'm asking. I haven't heard much about that aspect on the news. I was just wondering if he was the great guy half the world thinks he was, or was he really a crazy man-child that spent billions of dollars on his own private fantasy land and lifestyle? It was his money, so he had the right to do what he wanted with it. Tho maybe it would have been better for him if he put a little away and bought a couple less amusement park rides. I'm just trying to figure out if he was really a humanitarian worthy of all this worship, or was he just another spoiled pop star...
I hope it not true...
Despite what he has become, he is still an amazing singer, selling the best selling CD of all time, created two dances (the moonwalk and the Thriller dance), and was a child star when he sang with the Jackson 5. I know that he will be remember by many as a child molester, which is so sad, when his career was marked by great musical talent.
Edit:
RIP Michael. We lost two greats today.
