Online scams are HUGE right now, one way to tell is to ALWAYS check out the URL at the top of the page especially right after you click on an ad. If it's not the original site you need to be wary. In this example, going to the Apple site would have been a smart thing to do, of course not everyone thinks to do this and understandably so, but for anyone who reads this, you need to do this going forward. And any site that asks for your SS # or any other personal information like this when you're just making a regular purchase, well thats a huge red flag right there. Another thing to be very wary of is, when you order something and all they want is shipping and handling that's another red flag, you're entering in your credit/debit card number which gives them access to your account. ALWAYS CHECK THE URL. !
