Well, it's definately a cluster-eff right now. I made a new status and set it to 'everyone' can see it, then logged out and into a fakebook, and couldn't see it. Isn't that what "everyone" usually means?
I was able to see a couple new things just now on someone's Facebook. It gave me a link to a public Facebook group and I got a couple pics out of it. Guess that was prob the best I could hope for...
We've also posted a third tutorial about the new privacy controls here. This video explains how to use the privacy control in the Publisher, the box where you publish status content such as updates, photos, videos and links.

Now if they could only fix all the other privacy problems!
I wonder what happens if you click the Skip For Now button ... does your profile remain with all your old settings, and keep hiding everything? Or does it just automatically update to the default settings you see when you click the other button?
Although annoying, wonder if you could just click the skip button indefinately (or at least for however long) to keep you profile as private as it was before this change.
Ahh, so that's a good thing to note. Sounds like if you click Skip it automatically sets the setting to the new defaults.
I find facebook to be very confusing. Why can't they be like myspace where you click one button for private and one for public? I'm guessing this is why I can see my daughters friends. I wish I could see her pictures but I can't. Doesn't facebook have privacy laws for minors under 18? Does anyone know as a parent if I contact facebook if they would give me her password?

@#($*&@ !! nevermind, they suddenly are showing up for me too!i think the Facebook "preview" is flawed, i just tested again and nothing is viewable to non-friends for me---SM, try doing the same. Hold on, i'll do it for ya actually...
