I agree with the Dogg here.
I chose the answer that we should be able to burn any holy scripture. Not just because I'm a very strong Atheist, but because you can't limit free speech. Kowtowing to one group of maniacs and standing against another group of maniacs, sets a double standard that we can't have. I'm not just talking about legally stopping them, I'm talking about speaking out against one side while letting the other get away with things.
I do 100% agree with SDC that the media is at fault for this whole thing. Just some inbred, redneck who should never even be known, has been causing an international incident. Yes, they can argue its news now.. because, now it is... but they were the ones that made it into news. So F them.
One of the blogs I read regularly is that of PZ Myers, called Pharygula. It's pretty awesome. He wrote about this the other day and I sort of take his opinion on it. http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2010/09/setting_the_koran_on_fire_vs_s.php#comments

It's really risky to bring up religion on a forum or in a bar. The topic is too sensitive and causes a lot of tension and arguments. But I like how this thread is going. It looks like people can speak their opinion here and not get flamed for it. Cool. Okay I believe in God but I'm not going to force it on others, just like I wouldn't force non-belief on others either. I've had many prayers answered and some people have never had any answered. But that shouldn't cause someone to choose to not believe in something. I mean, if you wrote eminem everyday but never got a reply back would you start to think that he doesn't really exist? But you say "I can see eminem I know he exists but I've never seen god." Sometimes you just have to step out on faith. We don't see the chef at the restarant cooking our food but we still know he's real and we can see the outcome of his work. Sometimes we don't know the reason that God doesn't answer our prayers but he knows the reason and sometimes it's for the best even if we don't realize it. God bless everyone and just keep an open mind. You don't want to end up in hell for eternity. The way I look at it is it is fire insurance. Its better to live a good life and believe in something and make it to heaven than to risk the chance of missing heaven.
